Benefits of Solar

Environmental:
Photovoltaic systems create clean energy from the sun. When systems are installed on your home or business, you help to reduce greenhouse gases and global warming.   This “green” system also helps to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels.  No carbon monoxide and other contaminants are emitted into the atmosphere, reducing the damage to the ozone layer aiding in slowing the effects of global warming.

Renewable:
Unlike fossil fuels, which are “used up” during the process there are no concerns about using up sunlight.

Clean, Noise-Free:
The production of electricity from solar panels is noise free.  No noise pollution or byproducts are a result of solar energy.  This contributes to it being a popular form of alternative energy for many communities and facilities, such as schools, corporate parks and residences.

Long-Term Cost Savings:
The average homeowner is likely to recoup the cost of installing a solar energy system within 8 to 10 years.  It has been estimated that homeowners can save up to 70 percent on their yearly utility costs with a solar panel energy system.

Can Benefit Utility Companies:
Utility companies purchase excess solar energy produced by solar systems and then resell that energy to their other customers. This helps lower the demand on fossil fuels, decrease the wear and tear of utility facilities and reduces the possibility of loss of power due to supply and demand.
